New Print-Ready Job
- Look over job folder to get an overview of the job
- Start tracking time for the job in the Pace UI on carlisleprinting.com
- Check file on Print-Ready Jobs for any glaring errors (page size, bleeds, fonts, die-lines, spot colors, etc.) and make sure name starts with job part number
- Find or Create job in Prinergy, move to the correct group (Prepress), and open the job
- Open job folder in file browser (right click on job name at bottom left of window)
- Copy file(s) from Print-Ready Jobs to UserDefinedFolders
- Add input file to Prinergy (right click in bottom section of Prinergy or use ⌘T)
- Refine input file based on colors listed on job (CMYK, CMYK+Spot, Grayscale)
- Soft Proof
- Do a loose page output of refined pages (Loose Page Output/Digital Proof/PDF Raster300zip)
- Retrieve proof from proofs folder in Prinergy job folder
- Add marks to proof file if needed (fold lines, hole punches, etc)
- Check size of proof file and optimize if needed
- Email or upload proof to customer
- Print proof on Xerox and finish it as close to actual job as possible - fold, punch holes, corner rounding, etc. This way the bindery knows what the job should look like when finished
- Inkjet Proof
- If job requires an Inkjet proof, output refined pages to HP Z6800 (Loose Page Output/Carlisle-FOGRA/HP z6800-EpsonProofing44-1200
- Print 2 copies of proof - 1 for us, 1 for the customer
- Cut proofs down to size when printed
- Print approval form and notify customer that proof is ready
- Indigo Proof
- Put a note on the job folder with a time that you need to proof and give the job folder to Jake
- Make sure there are 2 proofs - 1 for us, 1 for the customer
- Look over proof and make sure it matches with folder. This way the bindery knows what the job should look like when finished
- Print approval form and notify customer that proof is ready
- Change job status in Pace to 16 | Prep Proof
- Stop tracking time for the job in the Pace UI on carlisleprinting.com
